Cup of coffee

So you wake up at 5 AM and the room is dark and you know that your routine is for a 6 AM workout. You walk to the kitchen to get that first cup of coffee and are excited about yet another new venture….your blog. What will today bring, how can I inspire others. What is it that I know or have experienced that others will benefit from?

Unlimited sip club

The drive to the gym, the gathering of the phone, glasses, earbuds, and keys to now be able to walk into the gym to discover your membership has expired. planetfitness.com Just my lucky day, I get to rejoin for only $10 a month. If you are not a member this is a great time to become! I always know that after a workout my treat is a cup of coffee from the Panera Bread. I joined the unlimited sip club Panerabread.com which I intently go each and every day for my drink – best $10 spent each month! Since I am no longer employed full time these two morning activities have become a routine not only on Saturdays but most days. I feel the need for a routine, for people to still see that I am here and this provides that.

There are days that I sit at Panera Bread and watch and visit with their patrons. I have met several interesting folks. A 90 year old couple stopping for a cup of coffee before heading out to go Kayaking, two twin gals that are 26 who dress the same each day and order the same things, and there is the nanny that brings the two boys to have breakfast before driving them to school. All my encounters remind that life goes on and there is always something more to learn and do. We are blessed.

Having coffee in the pool

Then there are mornings like today, that coming to an empty house is so peaceful. Walking into the backyard, watering plants, watching red and blue birds fly from branch to branch, the squirrel that walks along the fence line, and the waterfall from the pool begin its journey are a great way to start the day. Have you ever just jumped into a pool and decided to have coffee? Well, this is a wonderful treat if you have yet to try it. Most people sit around the pool at a lounger or table to enjoy their cup of coffee. I have found a water seat that floats and you can enjoy your drink…morning and night. Remember, I do live in Texas where the weather is 85 at 7:30 in the mornings.

Love never fails 1 Corinthians – Coffee

The long holiday weekend is upon us where many people will be having pool parties for the last of the season. These were special days when my children were living at home. I tend to use my pool for my sanctuary now instead of pool parties. I also find it to be a chore that I enjoy as I clean and keep it performing as a blue oasis instead of a Georgia swamp. Having a backyard pool has been a blessing for these past twenty years.

So the time has come to look for activities to do for the weekend. Finding them as a single person can seem overwhelming at times. The thought of organizing a closet, cleaning floors, reading, or just hanging in your backyard alone tends to weigh out the process many days. Although, I am known for always doing something. The energizer bunny that does not stop, so I wont disappoint.

Labor Day weekend. I sponsored the Thames Rodeo in Wimberley Texas this year and will plan on a night there. San Antonio Parks & Recreation has a Jazz festival that looks interesting. A couple of farmers markets, and my favorite – garage sales. That is just a start of the list that may keep this gal out of trouble. What are your plans?

About Stacey Handy Never Eat Alone a great read by Keith Ferrazzi is just one of the books I enjoy that has helped me build a lifelong community of colleagues, friends, and mentors. I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and then served part time as a Nurse in the US Military for 24 years. I raised two wonderful children as a single mother in which I shared the love of God, travel, real estate, finances, and friendships. Rich Dad Poor Dad was a tool in which Robert Kiyosaki provided me with the knowledge of how to become financially independent as I served others. He brought real estate into my world in which I have been able to purchase, rehab, and provide to others a safe haven to call home. The Bible is my living tool which I realize is the foundation on my and my families lifeline. Relationships are so meaningful to me especially as I get to know my clients who place their trust with me as they search for the largest investment that they may ever make. Providing my expertise and concern for them provides an educated process and matches them to a home they love.
